    This was not only the best book I have ever read it is the first one,out of many ....ok maybe realistically 20 ish I have finished. It gave me positive motivation that anything is possible and to just say "I can't do that" is no longer an option. Thanks andy for real book from a real hero

    I started reading this book because I had a strange feeling that although I can ride, run and swim, I can't seem to do it at any great pace. Written by someone who has done it this book has provided me with an incentive to actually try a triathlon. Ironholgs experiences will serve as motivational food on anyone's journey in sport. His writing style is easy to the mind and concentrates on explaining what triathlon and Ironman is really all about. A no holds barred look on the realities of training and racing, I thoroughly recommend anyone to read this, even if your own target is just to get started on doing some form of new activity in life. A personal thanks to Ironholgs for sharing his journey.

    Hi, just to set the seen I never read books an if I do I never ever finish them. I was told about this book by a friend because I have completed an ironman back in 2006 and intend to start training up again for an event in 2013. I couldn't put it down I found myself reading whenever and where ever I could. This book is so easy to relate to and i see it as a great energy giving read. I can see why so many people are inspired by this, I am. It gives the view of the everyday run of the mill person that isn't a gladiator and shows how anybody can tackle the hardest of events if that's what they want to do. Amazing book, a must read if you are remotely interested in this sport or want to know how to be positive when you are at your worst. Thank you

    This book is not a guide for an ironman training, however this inspirational story will help anyone competing a race. Brilliantly written and and funny. I loved it! By the way I run already but can't swim and yes I want to do triathlons now, already bought a bike!!
